Halifax, NS – As Dalhousie takes this Friday off to honour George Munro, King’s has instead opted to celebrate a different George: King George III.
“As a school, we like to differ from the mainstream in every conceivable way,” stated Lacey Murndale, a King’s representative.
“Munro Day has gained a bad reputation in recent years. Instead, we want our students to honour the legacy of King George III, and in the way he would have wanted: by blasting indie music, wearing Doc Martens, and drunkenly debating the merits of communism.”
“I only wish ole’ Georgey boy was around to see the tremendous holiday we’ve created,” Murndale stated, a single tear rolling down her cheek.
