First Year Dalhousie Agriculture Student Unsure How To Submit Sheep Via Brightspace As Deadline Approaches

In an effort to align itself with the rest of Dalhousie, the agriculture campus has finally adopted
Brightspace. The move has left many students and faculty members in distress.

Bobby MacDonald, a first-year Animal Science major, expressed his frustration with how to
submit assignments on the online platform.

MacDonald’s first year animal science course requires students to raise a lamb to adulthood. He
was left bewildered after his professor added a Brightspace submission form for the assignment.

“I was looking through file type options, but none of them allowed you to submit livestock,”
complained MacDonald, baffled by the university’s ignorance.
“Who’s to say that some .pdf or .doc file is worth more than Bessie here? Just ridiculous,” he
exclaimed, patting his ewe.

Reportedly, MacDonald and a number of other students missed the deadline for their first
assignment submission, worth 30% of their grade.

“We admit that this change has caused some confusion,” commented Dr. John Sneer, sheep
specialist and professor of the course.
“However, finding creative solutions is a skill agriculture students must learn—nobody showed
me how to properly castrate a ram while downing a two-six. Had to work it out on my own.”

To MacDonald’s relief, students have been offered to repair Dr. Sneer’s combine harvester as an
extra credit assignment
