HALIFAX, NS—After years of petitioning from students, the University of King’s College has finally introduced poetry reading to their intramural roster.

“I’ve been doing competitive poetry reading since elementary school.” says third-year student Alastair Carmichael. “I’m glad King’s is providing a fun, low-stakes atmosphere for students to experiment with poetic verse without the debilitating pressure of varsity competition.”

The first game reportedly attracted a large crowd of spectators. Charmichael’s flawless iambic pentameter received a raucous round of snapping from all present at the event.
