HALIFAX, NS— Dalhousie administration has taken bold action in reducing Covid cases within university residences: getting rid of student residents completely. The actions taken by Dalhousie are quickly becoming the envy of universities country-wide.
“For a university of this size to be able to confidently state that they have zero Covid cases within their residences—that is something to celebrate” expressed Meric Gertler, president of The University of Toronto.
“It’s a magnificent achievement” Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Robert Strang was quoted as saying. “I only wish we could employ a similar strategy for residents of the entire province” he continued.
When questioned about what options were provided to residents for the month of January, a representative of Dalhousie responded with “Yes that is correct, there is no Covid-19 present in any Dalhousie residences.”
