HALIFAX, NS — Following a remarkable history of providing the English speaking Dalhousie University community with generation-defining journalism, it is with a distinguished sense of pride that The Dalhousie Mackerel announces unto the respective social circles of the university that our league of columnists shall begin producing pieces for Anglophones and Francophones simultaneously.

In a more inchoate time whence we were but a fledgling biweekly column, a distinct shortage of resources at our disposal divorced us from the ability to distribute our corpus at a capacity that authentically satisfied our team.

Ergo, considering our current status as the monolithic figure we are in the landscape of Haligonian journalism, it seems fitting that we evolve our works so that they are able to be adored by the masses outside of the English speaking sect.

We trust that our patrons will discover their reading experience to be enriched beyond anything they had previously perceived by The Mackerel thus far following this exciting new addition.
