HALIFAX, NS— Wednesday, January 26th marks the first annual “Dal Let’s Be Quiet” campaign, aimed to silence the conversation and increase the stigma of mental health issues, especially for students.

“We’re begging you to stop talking about mental health issues, it looks really bad on us,” said one Dalhousie administration member.

“Just pay your tuition, go to class, and stop bitching,” said another.

Dalhousie therapist, Phyllis McGuire, is praising the administration for their commitment to the new initiative, stating, “Here at student counselling, we’ve been swamped with the recent increase in students requiring immediate support.”

“I’m hopeful this campaign will see a substantial drop in those requiring our services,” she continued.

For every 10,000 hashtags, Dalhousie will raise tuition costs by 0.5%.
