Chad Simmons, a 4th year commerce student at Dalhousie was shocked to discover that classes had transitioned to online delivery. In his second semester of first year, after one too many hungover mornings, Simmons decided to throw in the towel for good—attending class never crossed his mind for the remainder of his university career.
“I couldn’t believe it man!” said Simmons, after dapping up King’s journalism student Katie Simpson, reporting on the piece.
“I haven’t stepped foot in a campus building other than the Dalplex since first year- It was only during exam season that I noticed. I said ‘Woah, I guess this Covid is a whole thing now hey?’ ”. He continued with “It hasn’t changed my study habits one bit. I wake up, pop an addy, and control-F all afternoon. If it weren’t for exams, I would have probably never noticed”.
