HALIFAX, NS—An ambulance outside the Dalplex has become a common sight for many students and staff during the exam periods as the gymnasium revolving doors continue their reign of terror.
December saw hundreds of students file in and out of the sports complex to write exams. During this period the revolving doors claimed the heels and toes of multiple students who disobeyed the strict flow of traffic. Minor injuries aside, a reported seven students missed exams entirely, stuck walking in circles, unable to muster the courage to exit the machine. While there have yet to be any fatalities, many experts believe it is a tragedy waiting to happen.
Third-year biology major Talisha Hendrigen spoke to The Mackerel about the situation.“I wrote my biology exam at the same time as the first-year engineering students, and even with all their heads put together they couldn’t figure it out!” she stated.
Professionals at the LeMarchant Place health clinic have raised concern after providing an unprecedented number of same-day counseling appointments for students among which the doors were a revolving theme.
